A fantastic transport of emotions and feelings into music, Naheed and Shriram have soldered together elements of acoustic guitars, soulful vocals, meaningful lyrics, drawing a certain kind of calm sustenance. Shriram who’s teaching Naheed encouraged her to sing and that’s how together they’ve come out with their single “Kya Pata”.

Their source material is their passion and emotions to create something that’s soulful, sound and beautiful. Assembling their libraries that they’ve gained through their experiences the duo’s work efforts can be seen. “Kya Pata” starts with an acoustic guitar playing a calming and appeasing chord progression soon to partner the guitar Naheed comes in with her profound vocals as she sings “Besabr hui hoon..tumse mili hoon….aankhon me Teri me ghum kyu ho gayi” to layer the guitars and vocals there’s a subtle wave of synth that’s playing behind giving you the sensation as though your floating. Soaking up all of this is a minimalist drum and bass playing behind completing the arrangement.

There’s something fundamentally sweet and pure about the song. When asked about the inspiration behind the song they had to say “It’s about a girl who is confused in regard to her first love. The nature of the song is extremely relatable on the subject of love”

The lyrics are really simple. It’s about a girl who’s trying to express her feelings and it has been communicated with ease through Ruchit Japee’s songwriting, Iyer’s composing and Naheed’s vocals.

It took the duo almost a month to complete the song as Shriram was teaching Naheed and they recorded it in the US. Shriram will be coming up with more releases this year and will be collaborating with different artists. With a calming atmosphere of a quiet kid “Kya Pata” glimmers and shines keeping your ears locked on it.
