Alok Richhariya’s “Ek Shehar” is the vibey feel one feels when meeting new friends with the same aspirations from thesame city.

We did an interview with the artist over a cup of coffee about this latest release, here’s what they had to say!

Tell us about your track

Ek Shehar is a story of two people who came to a big city to achieve their dreams but they got stuck in a loop of full filling their ends meet and they find themselves far away from what they wanted to achieve.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

The song is my own story when I came to indore for being a musician but because of no background support, i had to start doing other stuff to support my music but i realised i got stuck in it, a friend of mine was going through the same hence the song ek Shehar do ajnabee came from that situation.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

The song was a journey, i wrote it back in 2019 , i gathered funds to get it produced in first lockdown and i released it in September 2021.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

The meaning is to embrace the things that are troubling you and let everything that’s bad, sync in.

What brings next after this release?

I have around 15 more orignals that i’m trying to get produced, I’ll release my song kahani after this which is a motivation for the characters of Ek Shehar, it conveys a message of hope.
