We are ALT MAFIA, the biggest and most wanted hip-hop crew, from Kolkata, West Bengal. We would really appreciate if you check out our latest track called “CLAP BACK”, by ‘YxvngTrey’ & ‘Moksh Vibe’, the founding members of ALT MAFIA, and produced by “Moksh Vibe”, “Fregit” and “anxious” (all of them members of ALT MAFIA). The song encapsulates and explores the usage of new futuristic sounds in rap music rather than the old signature sounds that have been getting used. What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

As said earlier, the song is a response to a former rap beef. Through the lyrics the artists establish the fact that they are the best in their field and that they manifest in becoming unparalleled, with no competition. The lyrics are also kind of abstract, hinting that YxvngTrey and Moksh Vibe were drugged out on some substance, most probably LSD, thus coming to the punk aspect of the track.

What brings next after this release?

The song would open doors for punk rap in this country. Also, if given proper exposure, the track would also make way for futuristic and electronic sounds in the desi hip-hop arena.
