Tell us about your track

Anhad is a fresh blend between Indian Classical music and Hip Hop with heavy bass and abstract electronic sounds. It captures a conversation between two parties one looking at life through the chaos, and the other looking at life from a vantage point above the chaos.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

From the music style and artist inspiration point of view, I was highly inspired to create this track blending the styles of Hanumankind, Bharg Kale, Rawal and Raga- Hip hop artists and the unique eclectic fusion soundscape of the band Advaita. Intention wise, this song inspires curiosity and delivers the essence of spirituality while making sure that the youth bops their head to the beat,

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

The entire track took a long period of 1 year from conception to a finished mastered track

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

Anhad literally means the sound that can’t be heard. This word is an irony in itself because it has a spiritual context associated with it. The rap part of the lyrics describes the confusion that a person faces on a day to day basis and the classical part provides answers on how to deal with the problem by looking inward and connecting with one’s own spiritual self thereby hearing the sound that can’t be heard — Anhad. Towards the end, the lyrics turn into a beautiful rap x classical saga which can be considered as the highlight of the song.

What brings next after this release?

I have loads of unreleased songs in the pipeline, most of them which confine into this niche space of fusion music especially — Hip Hop x Hindustani Classical. Next release is a song of a boy who deals with the problems of being born in the 21st century and how luxury is source of confusion for him.
