Final we wrote about Gray Daze, the early mission of Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington, was in January of 2020 when they launched the monitor “What’s In The Eye.” Now, the band are again with a brand new album that includes Chester’s vocals, in addition to a number of visitor spots.
Gray Daze’s new album can be titled The Phoenix, and can come out June 17 on Loma Vista Information. The album is obtainable for preorder, and consists of contributions from Dave Navarro, Filter’s Richard Patrick, and Bennington’s daughters Lily and Lila Bennington.
Says Gray Daze drummer/songwriter Sean Dowdell:
“[2020’s] Amends was extra emotional and reflective. We felt unhappy once we have been writing it. Now that we’re a few years eliminated, it’s very clear what we have been going by means of. We have been at a unique stage of grief. We went by means of the shock and the disappointment. Now, we’re again to gratitude. So, The Phoenix is extra of a celebration of our good friend, his expertise, and the music. It captures Chester’s angst and power that folks fell in love with. It’s far more aggressive. For those who love Chester’s scream, you’ll love this document.
“It’s going to shock lots of people as a result of it will get again to Chester’s core. One of many issues that folks love about him was his distinctive means to scream in key… and this track brings you again to every thing you like about that scream. To be truthful, the band’s new single “Saturation” did shock us a bit once we first heard it. It’s not the standard Chester vocal on this one — the dude is clearly nonetheless studying the ropes right now, honing his craft. It’s cool to listen to, even when it’s not our explicit chalice of blood.
