Joe Jonas took to Instagram and TikTok earlier this week to problem his followers so as to add their very own verse to DNCE‘s new observe “Dancing Toes” with Kygo. The Jonas Brother shared a video of himself grooving to a wordless part of the tune, inviting individuals to participate within the”#DANCINGFEET Open Verse Problem.”
Singer/songwriter and producer Matthew Koma, also referred to as Hilary Duff‘s husband, rose to the event. In a side-by-side video posted on his Instagram account, Koma, hoping to clear up some issues with Jonas, rapped: “Hey Joe, why’d you unfollow me on Instagram?/ That one time we wrote a banger on your different band/ Not on your brother band, I really feel like a widdle man/ The fifth Jonas/ You don’t suppose I’m like a loopy fan?”
The singer-songwriter and producer then hilariously rapped about their shared connection: “Your spouse loves my spouse!/ My spouse loves your spouse! I like your spouse! Did you date my spouse?” referencing Jonas’ spouse, Recreation of Thrones actress Sophie Turner.
Koma ended his verse with an invite: “Is it loopy that I feel that this tune’s for me?/ Let’s get a Cinnabon/ And get our nails carried out.”
The video was merely captioned “Joe Jonas unfollowed me on Instagram.” Fortunately, Koma’s rap didn’t go unnoticed by Jonas, who commented: “Hahahaha I’m slapping that observe button.”
Duff supported her husband, sharing the video on her personal Instagram account with the caption, “I actually like residing with you @matthewkoma,” to which he replied: “Similar hunny.”
DNCE launched “Dancing Toes” with Kygo in February, marking the band’s first launch since their 2018 EP Folks to Folks.
