HVSH’s latest release ‘Down’ is the opening single leading to his debut EP titled Interlude, set to release later this year. This project speaks loud on his nuanced take on heartbreak, with him as the antagonist dealing with the multitude of emotions his partner goes through as their relationship creeps to its end. ‘Down’ exudes feelings of anger mixed with passion and desperation blended into a sonic medley that shifts perspectives with each passing verse drawing in the listener to further understand this story. This track features singer/songwriter Deverano whose Latin roots bring an attractive smoothness to this rough and intense narrative. It is further accompanied by an infectious hook and melodies that catch you off guard, only to grip you instantly.

The inspiration of this song was dealing with the heartbreak and uncertainty caused by my breakup and dealing with the uncertainty of arguments.

The lyrics are driven by the distaste and fear of talking about my problems and addressing them head on. Dealing with the feeling of losing control of his relationship and my mind space.
