Perspective EP is an alternative genre debut extended play by Inspectah Gracious and is based on the Psychodynamic Perspective theory of Sigmund Freud. The 3 main components of a psychodynamic perspective are- The Id, The Ego, and The SuperEgo. The songs in the EP resonate with all three components. Digging deep- The Id observes two main instincts: ‘Eros’, which is the life instinct that involves self-preservation, and sex that is fuelled by the ‘libido’ and energy force. ‘Thanatos’ is the death instinct, whose energies, because they are less powerful than those of ‘Eros’ are channeled away from ourselves and into aggression towards others. The ‘id’ and the ‘superego’ are constantly in conflict with each other and the ‘ego’ tries to resolve the discord. If this conflict is not resolved, we tend to use defense mechanisms to REDUCE OUR ANXIETY. EARLY EXPERIENCES AFFECT OUR ADULT PERSONALITY- The Entire EP is based on this line. This EP is truly cinematic and keeps the ability to intrigue one’s mind with its effect. Id: Instincts Ego: Reality Superego: Morality Presenting to you the ID in the form of the song- Magic, The EGO in the form of VOICES IN MY HEAD, and SUPEREGO in the form of VOID.

Sigmund Freud’s theory of Psychoanalysis. The Greek and the Indian Mythology that resonate with the similar emotions.
