Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted revealed his anger over his printed feedback about Alex Van Halen’s plans for a Van Halen tribute tour, saying it had made him think about by no means being interviewed once more.
Newsted’s quotes led to worldwide hypothesis, whereas each ex frontman David Lee Roth and virtuoso guitarist Joe Satriani confirmed discussions had taken place for such a challenge, and Satriani expressing shock that Newsted had made it public.
In a dialog with 98.7 The Gater (video under), the bassist stated: “That was dangerous, dude. I’m not blissful about that. I’m actually, actually not blissful about that.” He defined he’d solely agreed to the controversial interview in an effort to promote a profit live performance in assist of a children’ arts charity tonight (Apr. 23). “We do profit exhibits to place paintbrushes and guitars in children’ fingers,” he stated. “That’s what I am doing now.… we do advantages, interval, for artwork packages for teenagers.
