Kakkey’s latest single “Lamha” is a soulful song with deep lyrics that will touch your heart.

Tell us about your track

Lamha is a single from my first and forthcoming dream project, titled ‘IBTIDA’. It is the second release of mine as a Singer/Songwriter and it’s a song which has brought a lot of clarity and new dimensions in my life. Just like the lyrics of the song, this feels like a start of something really beautiful to me, especially my journey ahead as a Singer/Songwriter. Lamha happened to me at the point where I came out of a relationship and after some months of melancholy I woke up one day with a hope of something really beautiful which is gonna come in life soon. It talks about a metaphorical love story, about someone whom you haven’t met yet, but you’re sure they exist and you’re gonna find them someday soon.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

My writing process is really personal and it stems from my first hand experiences, so the inspiration behind the track is my own feeling of constantly looking out for someone who would be almost perfect for me and all that I feel and write would make sense when I come across them.

How long did it take to record the track \album \EP ?

It took almost a year for everything to fall in place and for this song to finally happen. Amidst the pandemic and a lot of personal issues and bad experiences, I had to steer through everything thrown at my way to finally do this track when I did and I’m kinda really proud of myself that I could do it and really grateful for the way it turned out.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

Lamha talks about a metaphorical love affair with someone you haven’t even met yet. It talks about my heart being a regular house and how I can feel someone’s faint presence around it, someone I haven’t met yet, but I know they exist somewhere. But the day I would meet them, I would definitely know that I wrote this for them.

What brings next after this release?

There’s a number of Solo singles, some collaborations and hopefully a full length album in due course positively.
