Tell us about your track

Empire is our first single, the song is very much a response to the current political context, both at home and in the world. When powerful entities use money, brute force and exclusionary politics, it is very hard not to feel a sense of despair and anger. The track will take you on a sonic journey of dreamy vocals, chimey guitar leads, fuzzy rhythms, glassy synths and pounding drums.

The track was written and recorded over a year and a half

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

The song is a dig at our collective hunger for power. From the political forces that seem omnipotent to the tyranny of the little despots who live among and within us. History shows that they are all doomed to fall.
