Mayank Thakur’s single “Gumsum” is the tight hug we need at the loneliest nights when everything seems to fall apart.

Tell us about your track

This song came about during a phase of my life where everything seemed to have been falling apart when i used to talk and motivate myself every night so that i sleep peacefully and have a fresh start the following day. i feels that everyone has had tough times in their lives and wants a push to move past that phase and i think gumsum is that push.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

Once I was sitting alone in my room and I was having some really terrible thoughts just to forget those thoughts I picked up my guitar and start humming I wrote the song in just 2 hours and it has given me so much motivation to past that phase and yes that’s how “Gumsum” came into my life.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

The journey was really amazing it took almost 2 months in the whole process of music making to mixing and mastering

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

The song revolves around just closing your eyes to all the evil and negative thoughts every night and opening your eyes to a new positive life the following day.

My new single is also lined up I will update about it soon
