Tell us about your track

vinayvvs’ third mixtape, Way2Lit. vinayvvs said, “I wanted to end the year by giving my listeners a mixtape to get hype (and sad) to during the holidays”. Way2Lit serves that exact purpose. The energetic and hype choruses and verses of the songs refer to the hedonistic life and mind of vinayvvs characterised by excessive indulgence in substances, wealth, females and partying — all things that are considered “lit”. Meanwhile, the mellow bits of the songs talk about rejection, unrequited love and everything in between. Every song on this tape has these juxtapositions within themselves. These contrasts within songs represent the uncanniness vinayvvs said he was going through in life when recording Way2Lit. “It’s almost like two sides of me—a ‘good’ side longing for true love, and an ‘evil’ side leading a hedonistic lifestyle comprised of ‘hook-ups’. Tell us your inspiration behind this track

I recorded Way2Lit during an uncanny phase in my life. Every song on this tape has juxtapositions within itself. The mellow intros, outros and bridges will put you in a mood of sorrow, whilst the vocal energy and flows of the choruses and verses will get you hyped, touching on themes contradictory to the mellow bits. The angelic and ethereal songs touch on a hedonistic life and mind characterized by excessive indulgence in substances, wealth, females and partying — all things that are considered “lit”. Meanwhile, the mellow bits of the songs talk about rejection, unrequited love and everything in between. Lots of juxtaposition within the songs themselves, which is meant to represent that uncanny phase in my life. The mellow, emotional bits and the hedonistic choruses and verses represent two sides of me — an emotional guy who wishes to find true love, and a guy that is driven by hedonism. Almost like two sides representing a good side and a contradictory evil side of me.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

I’ve been working on the concept of Way2Lit since September. It took me 4 months to write down the concept of the mixtape, record it, and get it engineered. I take the production of the songs seriously, and thus it took 4 months.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

What brings next after this release?

I’m only 18 and so far, I’ve release three mixtapes and numerous singles. After this release, I plan on dropping many more new singles. A lot is in store and we are only going up from here. This the beginning. vinayvvs up. Cosmo Alley up.
