Nicolette Gore’s single “What’s the rush” is a take on embracing life’s little moments and not be involved in the rat race.

We did an interview with the artist over a cup of coffee about this latest release, here’s what they had to say!

Tell us about your track

The song what’s the rush represents the lifestyle of the current times where everything is always a rat race to get somewhere. It was written from a perspective of taking life slow as we are all humans, and we don’t need to be how everyone wants us to be. As each one’s demands don’t need to be met as long as we live the way we want to live, in peace and harmony with oneself.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

Feeling judged and pushed to keep doing and not encouraged to live the way we want, is the primary inspiration. People always want us to be something, without realizing that we are all the elements but cumulatively we are humans. We don’t need to be blinded by false truths and pressure.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

The song was recorded and written in 9 months pre pandemic, but as the name suggested, somehow dint feel rushed to release it.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

Even if we are calm, we still have elements of sparks which is self motivation. So irrespective of what people want us to be we have to be true to ourselves, and not be blinded by lies. So taking tiny baby steps towards personal growth is the main meaning behind the lyrics

What brings next after this release?

This too shall pass is the next song that’s in the pipeline to be released, which is already recorded and produced. It emphasizes thay every thing-good or bad will pass as everything is a phase in life.
