Sachit and Sneha’s latest single “Lie Awake” appreciates how we as artists sacrifice ourselves for the art, and in order to stay relevant, We are forced to burn out evenmore.

We did an interview with the artist over a cup of coffee about this latest release, here’s what they had to say!

Tell us about your track

I wrote this song to try and capture how an artist sometimes loses sleep in trying to achieve that small piece of art. Because many times we lose track of time and feel this immense pressure of whether we are at our prime, whether the next piece of art that we put out would stand out from the previous, whether expectations would be matched and it’s just this anxiety that’s trapping you and making you feel restless in order to find that one little piece of art that would almost satisfy what you were trying to achieve and be able to express yourself the way you wanted to. And the whole games changing, cause we have to bend our rules to stay relevant and stand out on social media, compromising on what the actual expression would have been, just trying to fit in. We all vary from each other but at a certain point, I’m sure everyone has felt this way, this fight to stay relevant cause that’s what we all want. All we want is to be heard and noticed for what we do while not many can see and understand the work and hustle that goes into it.
