Yashwardhan’s “3:30 AM Freestyle” is not just a hip hop track, it’s a conversation with self while the world sleeps.

Tell us about your track

Dreams are something that keeps one going. ‘3:30 AM freestyle’ is a narrative that builds around the same concept and tells a story that resonates in the mind when the world sleeps. This track is not basic hip hop, it’s a narration that can connect the listener with their deepest thoughts and vigour to achieve their goals, their dreams. The strong free-styling, catchy switches with an amalgamation of lofi pop and old school rap sets the bars in a completely different league for this genre.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

The place where we dwell. Our society. Everytime you try to do something new they pull you back and make you do what the crowd does. I am inspired by those humans I see in the same society who go against all odds and confidently does what they wish to do. That valour of theirs inspired me to write this and experiment with the beats and create this lofi pop which is pretty rare in our country as a genre!

How long did it take to record the track \album \EP ?

Freestyle it is! Went in, in a go!

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

It’s a narrative. A soliloquy. A reminder to self about how I am struggling and how is it paying me off. This song promises affirmations that I make to myself at midnight when the world is asleep, dreaming while I am working hard and affirming my winnings already!

What brings next after this release?

I plan to release a couple of single tracks and once there’s a momentum in the crowd and my listeners, I am all set to drop in an EP super soon
