A beautiul jam amongst friends now becomes a full blown song, Listen to AKG’s “Kali Kali Raat”

Tell us about your track

A Soulful- Acoustic representation of New Love. The inception of “Kaali Kaali Raat” happened during a beautiful night Jam amongst close friends. The song then gradually developed into a simple expression of a lover, who is rather excessively smitten by the beauty of the night , only because of the company he is in. The song is an honest approach to express New Love with an uncomplicated melody structure and very simple, easy to remember lyrics.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

To be honest, this song was conceived around very good friends, and although “romance” takes the foreground due to the lyrics and the general stream of words. It is the genuine love and mutual respect between friends, family and strangers, which goes beyond structured “relationships” , and hence makes a firm foundation/inspiration for this song.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

“Kaali Kaali Raat” is the first song from my debut EP “Mudatto Baad”. The EP title literally means, “After Very Long” or “After a Long Time”, and therefore it would be apt to say that all of it took a long time, as all the songs were recorded together, but all of them were created in the span of one year.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

” Our conversations are magical in this dark night. We’ve grown closer because of genuine sharing of space and emotions, and therefore “I am yours, I live with you, and I flow with you. I am often surprised by this beautiful reality, but I’m happy that I am with you.”

What brings next after this release?

The next song of the EP – “Saanware” is an old classic bhajan, done in a modern musical arrangement. It is due to release in February,2023.
