Tell us about your track

The song is the brainchild of long time college friends Pratyaksh and KAPOW!’s vocalist Mayank and was eventually adopted by KAPOW! with the introduction of Sana Arora as the female lead. ‘Always meant to be’ tells the story of a 21st century long distance relationship trying to overcome its challenges. A powerful emotional ballad, this song brings you two brilliant featuring artists who elevate it to a whole new dimension. The song is meant to give the listeners a sense of hope in their own difficult times, in life and in love, that one day we’ll all look back and realize it was ‘Always meant to be’.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

As Pratyaksh would say – It was my faith in the relationship with my last girlfriend She was my last shot at finding someone perhaps and even though we ain’t together right now. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. That’s the only person I know I’ll continue to love till I die, together or not. I wrote it for her, till the first chorus while we were still together and the rest after we split. All in hopes and faith that one day I feel the destiny will bring us together again.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

So, the song was recorded at The Ferris Wheel Studios, Gurugram like all our songs and was recorded in a 4 day grueling studio session in which we recorded four of our upcoming singles of which this was the first one.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

The song talks about a 21st century century long distance relationship. The first verse where the guy talks about his surroundings and how he misses his other half who is in a different city and they are trying to make it work through different time zones and their work schedules etc. The second verse is all about the girl’s side of story. The bridge is where the story gets grand and just comes to an epic end through outro where they want to showcase their feelings for one another.

What brings next after this release?

Well, 3 singles and a second album which is still in the making. Lets just say its gonna be crazy like cats and dogs. (Ooops!! Did we just give a spoiler??)
