Anurag Mishra Unveils Vibrant Musical Palette with “Rang” Album
In the bustling city of Mumbai, where dreams find a rhythm of their own, singer-songwriter Anurag Mishra has crafted a musical journey that resonates with self-discovery and personal experiences. His latest creation, the seven-track album titled “Rang,” is a melodic kaleidoscope that showcases the diverse hues of his artistic personality.
From heartfelt ballads to soulful ghazals and energetic Bollywood Item-pop, “Rang” encapsulates the myriad emotions and genres that have influenced Mishra’s musical sojourn. This marks his third original album, following the success of “Project SWA” and “Lifafe” in 2019 and 2022, respectively.
The inspiration behind “Rang” lies in Anurag Mishra’s journey of self-discovery and introspection. The tracks, some dating back to 2021, represent different facets of Anurag’s personality, each akin to a unique color. The album, aptly named “Rang” (meaning color in Hindi), is a vivid portrayal of Mishra’s musical prowess and a reflection of his growth as an artist.
A native of Odisha, India, Anurag Mishra ventured into the world of music after leaving behind a corporate career in 2018. Armed with a degree from NIT Rourkela and IIM Indore, he embraced a full-time musical pursuit. Since then, Mishra has not only released three original albums but has also collaborated with industry stalwarts such as Javed Ali, Salim Sulaiman, Abhay Jodhpurkar, and Sashaa Tirupati.
Beyond his albums, Mishra has made significant contributions to the world of lyrics, having penned impactful words for films like R. Madhavan’s “Rocketry,” Hotstar’s “Annabelle Sethupathi,” and Zee5’s “Karma Strikes.” His lyrical prowess extends to web-shows, including Amazon Prime’s ‘Sweet Kaaram Coffee.’
