Harry Styles wasn’t going to just leave one of Spotify’s biggest records “As It Was.”

The streaming platform shared on Saturday, a day after the release of Styles’ latest single, that the pop star now holds the record for the most-streamed song in a single day in the U.S. On top of that, “As It Was” has now become the most-streamed song on Spotify worldwide, in a single day, in all of 2022 so far.

The single is the first off Styles’ third album Harry’s House, which is set to arrive on May 20. The song earned an impressive 8.3 million streams in its first day of availability, breaking the record previously held by Olivia Rodrigo with her song “drivers license,” with had 8 million, per Entertainment Tonight. As for the 2022 single-day record, Styles broke the record previously held by Anitta’s “Envolver,” which scored 8.6 million streams last month.

The YouTube-released music video itself has over 24 million views in just a day of availability, too, and it’s still sitting at the top spot for trending music on the platform.

“Directing a Harry Styles video was a bucket list dream come true for me as he’s my favorite performer,” Tanu Muino said of working on the new track’s video. “Shooting him was bittersweet as it was one of the happiest days of my life, but on the second day of the shoot, my country Ukraine was invaded so you can imagine the insane emotions we had while shooting. Me and my team from Ukraine poured so much love into this video and you can see it on screen. It will be a music video I will never forget and now I can happily retire.”
