The artists and Group ROC secured authorized illustration for greater than 200 inmates on the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman and filed a number of lawsuits that brought on the U.S. Justice Division to analyze inhumane situations on the jail services.
On Wednesday (April 20), the U.S. Justice Division issued a report saying that “Mississippi routinely violates the constitutional rights of individuals incarcerated at Parchman.”

The DOJ’s investigation of situations at Southern Mississippi Correctional Establishment, Central Mississippi Correctional Facility and Wilkinson County Correctional Facility is ongoing.
