Kahan Mai Hoon is a song about the seeking of the inner world. The person seeks what is it inside that gives rise to all the desires and aspirations. It’s about wanting to know the source of all the possibilities of the mind.The theme of this song is spirituality.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

One night I was jamming with my guitar and I was thinking about how far I have come from how I used to be a few years ago. It made me think how we actually change all the time and have no clue about ourselves. Thinking about this continous movement gave me the idea for the chorus of the song “Kahan Mai Hoon”. It is the question which seeks the “self” through its own continous movement of changing desires and aspirations and what is that which is the source of it.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

It took almost an year to record this song. I made this song in collaboration with Revoic and AARK. We were paitent through the process, constantly changing ideas and shaping the structure and vibe of the song.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

The song is about the person discovering his/her own true self. What we identify as self is the desires and aspirations that shape us. But when we observe closely, we see that it is a continous movement. Within that, we seek for something which is its source. We don’t know about it. That’s why the question “Kahan Mai Hoon?”. It is the seeking of the self beyond the mind.
