Nikhil Swatantra’s latest single “Keh De” is all about cherishing the love we feel for someone that adds colors to our boring lives.
We did an interview with the artist over a cup of coffee about this latest release, here’s what they had to say!
Tell us about your track
I am a mechanical engineer turned independent singer-songwriter hailing from the beautiful city of Chandigarh and have just released my first original song ‘Keh De’ on all major streaming platforms. ‘Keh De’ song is a kind of passionate yearning for a lover to confess/express his/her feelings, irrespective of caste, creed, color & sex, to acknowledge the love between both of them and break free from all seemingly big, yet trivial hindrances in this human society
Tell us your inspiration behind this track
Love, being the highest, purest and strongest force in the universe, is an emotion which is said to melt hearts of even the greatest gods. We, simple humans, often fail to express/acknowledge love out of fear, society, status, caste, religion, etc. and all other petty reasons. The song ‘Keh De’ puts emphasis on the acceptance/acknowldegement of love to his/her loved ones and cherish the feeling of this pure emotion forever.
How long did it take to record the track album EP ?
One cold winter night, in the month of March 2022, I felt like composing this emotion and going back & forth for few days, I was ready with the scratch of the song including the lyrics. After making my friends listen it, with a few tweaks here and there, I started looking for a music producer whose songs could match the sound/genre/feel of the music I had in my mind for ‘Keh De’. I happen to discover this beautiful musician ‘Aman Sagar’ in delhi whose tracks had that similar vibe of freshness and feel. No longer I waited then, to discuss it with Aman and within few days, I had this beautiful track ‘Keh De’ ready with me.
What is the meaning behind the lyrics?
The lyrics simply says that both the girl and the boy knows they have each other in their hearts now, and that feeling is permanent. Then why are they both avoiding/ignoring this pure feel, due to unsaid petty reasons ? The chorus of the song emphasis on simply expressing/acknowledging the love, living it, cherishing it and making their lives colorful and beautiful
What brings next after this release?
This song will have its different genres released in some time, will be promoted, marketed along with many more new fresh compositions, which will be released in the months to follow
