We did an interview with the artist over a cup of coffee about this latest release, here’s what they had to say!

Tell us about your track

I’m a singer-songwriter studying at Berklee college of music and this release is my debut single. It has been produced by Abhishek Sekhri (Goya Music).One Way Street is an acoustic song with acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, voice and harmonies.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

The idea for ‘One Way Street’ came to me on a monsoon day, inspired by the thrill of first meeting someone. The world shifting around you, the memories made, and the joy of being consumed by them. The jitters, the excitement, and the rush of emotions that come with new love.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

It took me a couple of months to write and compose this song starting August 2022. Followed by two weeks to record, produce, mix and master it.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

The idea for ‘One Way Street’ came to me on a monsoon day, inspired by the thrill of first meeting someone. The world shifting around you, the memories made, and the joy of being consumed by them. The jitters, the excitement, and the rush of emotions that come with new love. As I delved deeper into the song, it found new meaning for me. It also became a song about the heartache and acceptance of unrequited love. Unreciprocated feelings. Love can be beautiful and painful, and for me this song captures both sides of that journey. This song always makes me feel a roller coaster of emotions which is why I can’t wait to share it with all of you, I hope you like it and maybe even find a little bit of yourself in the words.
