Rush‘s Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee not too long ago sat down with George Stroumboulopoulos for an interview with Home Of Strombo. Towards the top, Lee touched on the passing of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who introduced the band throughout their induction into the Rock And Roll Corridor Of Fame in 2013.

“Heartbreaking — simply heartbreaking. That basically broke my coronary heart, his passing. [He was] so vigorous. I keep in mind when he introduced the [Rock And Roll] Corridor Of Fame award to us in 2013 and we got here up on stage, he was actually leaping up and down like a two-year-old — he was leaping up and down, he was so completely happy — and that was him. Foo Fighters not too long ago cancelled all their upcoming tour dates within the wake of Hawkins‘ loss of life. Hawkins handed away immediately at 50 years previous whereas the band was touring South America.
