We did an interview with the artist over a cup of coffee about this latest release, here’s what they had to say!

Tell us about your track

Someone Else is a perfect track for a long roadtrip or a houseparty. Resonating with classics of 2015-2018. The music is inspired by One Direction and Fly by Midnight. Being a 17 year old in class 11th, along with PCM as my stream, it is quite hard to manage things together but still I took out time to create this. I’ve poured my heart into this, hope everyone resonates with it.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

I was kinda nostalgic and was listening to a ton of one direction. And thus, as expected, I started a new FL project which after 4 and a half months turned into what you hear now as my upcoming single ‘Someone Else’. I always wanted my songs to feel full and completed. Hence you can hear a ton of pads and synths in the chorus. It was quite fun to produce this song as I knew exactly what I wanted to make. Who’d imagine some random class 11th students with no prior experience would be able to create an industry level music video. I have always wanted to make a music video of my own. Countless nights, I have imagined myself in some music video in my head while listening to songs but now I have one of my own. Completely bootstrapped, with no label, we managed to create a proper high quality music video for the song which is going to release on 5th Feb.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

Approx 4 and a half months for the song but the music video was done in a week. 2 days for planning, 2 days shoot and 3 days for edit. Bang! We have a music video ready. A funfact – I even worked on this project during my exams. Managed to get decent score as well hah:)

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

Uff this one is fun. Ever had a crush on someone 10 years older than you? Well I did and that’s what this song is about. As soon as I entered 11th, things started getting messy. Though I got an amazing result in class 10th boards but managing class 11th was too hard. At this point, when I had no one to talk to, I found someone. Someone whom I can share everything with without the any hesitation. Someone who makes me feel alive again. I get kinda detached from the outside world and forget about all the to do lists when I am with that person. I know we have our separate ways to go, sooner or later, still I try to spend every minute possible with that person. It’s the best part of my day. Although such teenage single sided attraction or love, whatever you call it, is too common. But this time it feels different

What brings next after this release?

I’m turning 18 this year. What better than releasing an EP on my 18th birthday. I have already started working on the EP but yes, it’d need some more time. An EP with some more music videos is currently my future plan
