Atharva Patwardhan’s album “The Silent Hour” is a nostalgic trip packed with emotions and the music will bring back all the loving memories you’ve had.

We did an interview with the artist over a cup of coffee about this latest release, here’s what they had to say!

Tell us about your track

The Silent Hour is Atharva Patwardhan’s second musical offering, and first full-length album. It is a psychedelic soiree, as Atharva tries to capture our minds with jubilant shoegaze techniques, clubbed with his signature charming musicality. You have to give in to this album, and it doesn’t let you go. Atharva manages to express his anguish on tracks like Brief Time and Miss Laraine, and paints vivid pictures of our deepest desires in Reach The Heaven. If you have 30 minutes on your hands, I’d suggest you try The Silent Hour.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

A lot of different artists since the album consists of many genres. So coming right from George Strait for the country type songs and Pink Floyd, Phish and Grateful Dead for the psychedelic elements and modes is how I’ve had inspiration for the tracks.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

It was a period of 6 months or so that I was writing and recording the new songs, while I’ve added 2 tracks which I had already released as singles previously.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

It’s an album with Love songs and it’s a Dream. The Dream starts from the first track and takes you through the journey of how the love increases for someone and the changes that happen through this journey. Half-way through the album is where you realize how one misses the presence of the other in normal as well as dire times leading up to the Nostalgia when the person is just heartbroken or as you can say changes that take place after the times are not the same anymore. As we ride through this Nostalgic trip is where the Dream reaches to a peak and you wake up.
