Ghar Laut Aa by Rukarta and Jerin Roy is how memories become a thing of past and how we always wish we could rejoice them.

We did an interview with the artist over a cup of coffee about this latest release, here’s what they had to say!

Tell us about your track

A friend told me about how he misses that one person he has lost and how he knows that he won’t get to re-live that part of his life again. So Ghar Laut Aa is just an expression for how sometimes we understand a persons value in our life after they’ve gone.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

Artists usually express themselves through their art, but when my friend shared his story i tried putting myself in his place and and expressing what he felt.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

I wrote this song a year ago (June,2021) and then I tried a bunch of singers on this track but none of them really gave me what I wanted, but then I knew a singer I could rely on a 100% and that was Jerin Roy. We recorded the final vocals in July,2022 then Niranjan Sarbi mixed/mastered the song within 2 weeks.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

Lyrics talk about how I’m trying to talk to a person who I know can probably hear me but also will never reply. And my favrouite part of the lyrics is “Ghar Laut Aana phirse meri baahon mai samajha” because the way Jerin has sung it, it really touches you.

What brings next after this release?

I’m trying to explore as many genres and emotions as I can and deliver the best of my art to my audience.
