Tell us about your track

Many times, specially in our Indian society, name (surname, to be precise) plays a significant role in the lifespan of a relationship. Naam is a song that requests someone to choose love over differences created by society such as caste. It asks a lover to make love win and not give up against societal norms.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

Observations. I’ve observed relatiosnhips being torn apart because of societal pressure and the song is inspired by those incidents.

How long did it take to record the track \album \EP ?

I penned the song a few months back. Then I recorded a full version of the song with my producer. However, we recorded a simple acoustic version of it, with a single instrument, i.e., guitar and it became my personal favourite version of the song. So, I released it as well.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

“Naam” in the song signifies surame or caste of a lover. Further lyrics ask the other lover to accpet love and not lose the relationship because of differences in their “names”. True love ir rare to find and once you get somone who loves you truly, you should not lose it at any cost.

What brings next after this release?

I’ve lots of new songs on the way. I’ve experimented with my style of songwriting and I’m excited to release them soon.
