Sai Vsr’s song “3 A.M.” is a portrayal of absurd insecurities of your deepest desires.

Tell us about your track

I wrote this song as an ode to all the insecurities that we face throughout life. For me, it was when I was alone and awake at 3 in the morning, scrolling down my phone and observing life through social media – how everything seemed so perfect because of the way that people engineered it to be. I wrote this track way back in May 2021, as a stripped back acoustic song, and it stayed with me for quite a bit because I was unsure if I was ready to put out a song that was so raw yet. I finally showed it to a producer friend of mine, Sidharth Bendi in January 2022 and we got to work together on making it come to life. I decided that it was the perfect continuation to my Debut EP ‘The World Is Messed Up’ (released in November 2021) and follow up single ‘Dear Madeline,’ (released in May 2022).

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

I think all of us have those days where we do not feel up to the mark. I’m someone who does look for ways to make it better but I also feel it is important to acknowledge what we feel in those moments – which is why I came up with this song.

How long did it take to record the track \album \EP ?

The entire song took about 6 months to complete because we had a very weird schedule going on. But in a way the time we took on this is one of the biggest advantages for this song because the creative bandwidth we were able to generate in that period was off the charts, kudos to my producer Sidharth for that one really.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

I think it’s a pretty straightforward portrayal of absurd insecurities that we all feel sometimes.

What brings next after this release?

Well I am working on some more projects with my friend Sidharth, I have one of my biggest projects ever coming out in November 2022 as well so I look forward to that!
