The Bombay based singer songwriter Yohan Marshall channels indie pop with his fine-tuned  single “Jo Tu Mere Paas Hai”

Finishing a song that’s soft and sauntering with modern touches of experimentation Yohan Marshall’s latest “Jo Tu Mere Pass” is a hard-hitter indie pop love-bug. Allowing him to swim in his warm love emotions, with small spaces of music that play as breathing rooms.

The song is built around the feeling of closed-mic’d acoustic guitars that drives the composition in a vibrant direction. Following the guitars are velvety synth textures that cradle the song with warmth and affection. Electric guitars shining through the chorus light up the song. An upbeat programmed drums that play as the heartbeat of the song. His melodicism weaving a fabric of love and gratitude. The song is a soft representation of Yohan’s thoughts and feelings. A carpet bomb of oxytocin.

He’s singing to his lover underneath a quilt of loving emotions. Talking about the song Yohan says, “Jo Tu Mere Paas Hai’ is written with love for my wife Jaisha. Ive held on to this melody for a few years & kept feeling like the perfect words would just arrive”. He describes his romance as a journey that in a way gives him freedom through his lyricism. He adds, “It took growing, falling, learning how to love & be loved for those words to fall into place”.

While talking about the concept for the video he says, “The song talks about a carefree & loving relationship with my wife Jaisha & what better way to embody that feeling then to share some of our happiest moments. Our wedding was dream-like & although it takes courage to share personal moments like these I realised that no amount of money, outfits or planning can recreate the look in our eyes moments before we got married”. Marshall has intenty dialled into his inner self from which he has driven his inspirations.

With his ability to give clarity to his inner thoughts and with a brainwork to bring it out into reality “Jo Tu Mere Pass Hai” is certainly a fine-tuned love bomb.
