“Tu” by Raag Band is a track about filling the gaps in love and holding on forever.

We did an interview with the artist over a cup of coffee about this latest release, here’s what they had to say!

Tell us about your track

TU’ is not a song but a feeling one experiences. The feeling of being incomplete without the other. The song depicts the core thought behind the emotion we all know as LOVE. The thought being that Love is an emotion so strong that you need two people to contain it, bind it and complete it. What one feels, the other understands, what one lacks, the other completes.

Tell us your inspiration behind this track

We all grew up watching Bollywood movies. Indian movies are all about Love, Drama, Culture & Color etc. We Have legendary Composers like Nausad ji, RD Burman ji, Madan Mohan ji, ARRahman sir etc. There is always so much to learn and inspire. ‘TU’ is very special & close to our heart as it is our first composition that we wrote. One fine day the thought of ‘TU’ came to us naturally and The song by itself is an inspiration for us to do more music & spread Love.

How long did it take to record the track album EP ?

As we are new to the independent music scene we wanted to make sure we have the song produced to its best level and rich in terms of sound. Though it took few weeks to complete the whole production process , we wrote the composition in a day.

What is the meaning behind the lyrics?

The thought being that Love is an emotion so strong that you need two people to contain it, bind it and complete it. What one feels, the other understands, what one lacks, the other completes.

What brings next after this release?

We have lot of original music coming up. All we want is to spread Love & happiness through our music
